Blogs are where our users can showcase their favourite images and explain more about their work
I started being a local writer, basically and maybe just to express my deep emotions. I am very sensitive, emotional, expressive and instinctive that at times I put a deeper meaning of something that I see, feel or hold. When I stopped writing, I felt like I took away something that is a part of me. Then a lot of adversities come my way. I started to ask a lot of questions that can't be answered, I have gone through some depths to find an answer. So I came across the idea of meditation.
Recently I read a few forum threads talking about how strict stock photo sites can be with their submissions. Only accepting a small percentages of those submitted to them.
Part of the reason though is people coming up with the same old thing. There is probably a million and one photographs online of pretty beaches. And you can replicate this for so many other topics. The microstock agencies simply don't need them.
I just fininshed uploading 12 individual red numbers for anyone to use for their presentations. I find things like this really useful as a stock reserve, as they can look a little better than the normal text generated ones in powerpoint.
I created these for an original set of posts on my website, but rather than have these sat on my desktop and only being used once in a while, I thought I would get these online here and see if anyone else could get any use from them.
Lots of excellent images were uploaded to freeimageslive this year making it hard to whittle down the selection to the 25 we've included in this post. The images here were selected for several reasons, technical merit, usefulness as stock photos, and in some cases just an emotional response they generated.
We'd like to thank all those who uploaded images this year, and wish everyone all the best for 2013!
I like to start everyday with some pictures. Of course every photographer's favorite is the sunrise. I would like to share with you the kind of moving ideas that spurred my photography to greater heights.
Colors: Whenever I see colors, I get so excited, I reach for the camera! Most of the people pause to watch a sunrise or the colors of the sunset without knowing why or even caring. It is one beautiful thing that will always be there, for you and me and for the curious photographer.
An idea sparked by a post on our facebook fan page, I realised just how many images of trees that we have on freeimageslive; and such wonderful variation in style and mood they depcict, everything from sunshine and freshness to death and dispair!
thanks to all those who have shared their images.
